I’ve long been a writer, no.. not that Sebastian Stuart, but it is funny – must run in the name. Either way, be it small fantastical blurbs about heroes in exotic lands through to simple, moving memoirs of conversations with my grandfather on the farm in South Africa when I was a kid, I like to commit thought to print.
Beginning of this year I took a chance and submitted several pieces for review by RMIT University in Melbourne.
I was pleasantly surprised (read: bounding about like an idiot) when they accepted my application and offered me a place in their Creative Writing and Editing course. Then as ever finances pinched, forcing me to make a hard choice. A decision that is up for renewal in a couple of months when my deferral period expires in preparation for the new year intake; what to do?
But this post is about the artwork – shown below are the book covers that accompanied the PDFs I sent through to the university :
I have several writing projects on the go presently, from modern thriller to science fiction opera. Always my mind is abuzz with stories and plots. Ask my friends, my ranging exploration of character motivations has convinced them a couple of times I’m discussing actual persons!
